Dr. Nora Zoma, D.C., CCSP, Chiropractor

Dr. Nora Zoma, is the owner at Embody Health Chiropractic. She completed her undergraduate studies at Oakland University with an emphasis in biological sciences. While working on her undergraduate degree, she decided to simultaneously pursue massage therapy at Irene’s Myomassology Institute. It was there that she learned the healing power of touch.

Dr. Zoma went on to further her education at Southern California University of Health Sciences. She graduated cum laude and received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree (DC) in 2011.  In addition to the academic requirements of the DC program, Dr. Zoma has completed over 1,000 continuing education credit hours in areas such as rehabilitation, sports performance, pediatric, pregnancy, nutrition, and neurology. These courses were taken through various avenues including Functional Anatomy Seminars, Active Release Technique, Graston, FMS, McKenzie Institute, ICPA (international chiropractic pediatric association), and the Prague school of rehabilitation. 

Dr. Zoma pursued furthered her post graduate education in sports medicine by receiving her C.C.S.P®, and is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician through the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. This allows her to enhance her examination and treatment protocols. It also gives Dr. Zoma the opportunity to represent her country and participate as part of the medical team for the Olympics. She is also Webster certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association where she is also an active member. This enables her to offer Chiropractic care not just to adults, but also babies, children, pregnant mothers.

Dr. Zoma is licensed in the State of Michigan and is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Michigan Chiropractic Society, and the Michigan Association of Chiropractors. She is also a member of the American College of Nutrition, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and the Institute for Functional Medicine. She has volunteered with countless non-profit organizations including Healing Hands for Humanity, Habitat for Humanity and participated at the Aids Life Cycle Sports Medicine Team for three consecutive years. Dr. Zoma was awarded Hour Detroit’s Top Chiropractors in 2021 by her Peers. With an amazing team at Embody Health Chiropractic, educational background and her genuine passion for life, fitness, people and health, Dr. Zoma provides the best care with intelligence and compassion.

"I love being active. I truly believe that movement is life. I enjoy doing anything that involves being outdoors in nature. My husband, Mike, and I are proud parents of the most amazing little girl. We can’t wait to show her what this amazing world has to offer. I consider myself a forever student. I have a passion for learning and constantly expanding myself to step out of my comfort zone. I love my patients. I have learned so much over the years by getting to know each patient and being able to contribute to their health and wellness. I am blessed to work with amazing people that desire to take an active role in their health. I educate my patients every day in practice so they can have the tools necessary to stay healthy, happy, and proactive."
