Corrective Chiropractice Care

Here at Embody Health Chiropractic, we keep up with the latest and most researched techniques on postural and spinal correction. We provide a custom, effective, and well-rounded program to alleviate your immediate pain, but more importantly focus on the root cause of the issue, which allows us to solve the problem at its source through corrective care to ensure long-term success.

Many cases of chronic low back pain, neck pain, disc bulges, headaches, nerve pain and fatigue, involve the segments of the spine and surrounding musculature not working properly. This misalignment in the spine can disrupt the nerve flow to the rest of the body.

At Embody Health Chiropractic, we utilize a variety of gentle and effective Chiropractic techniques, decompression, traction, massage, exercise, and muscle balancing to help restore proper function of the spine and to alleviate nerve pain by removing the interferences.
An adjustment, or joint manipulation, is used to free up restricted joints of the spine and extremities (shoulders, hips, elbows, knees, ankles, wrists). The goal is to restore proper function and movement so we can keep rockin’ to the amazing beat this life has to offer.

Common Conditions

Why would you need an adjustment?

Joints often become restricted due to improper posture or poor muscle activity. If the joint is restricted; the body begins to develop compensatory patterns to achieve its normal ranges of motion. If the joints remain restricted, the compensatory patterns continue and can eventually lead to abnormal, or lack of movement in the original joint.
This segmental restriction will eventually cause pain and degeneration.

Our goal is to find where the joint is restricted and perform an adjustment to allow the joint to regain motion and increase function. This in turn relaxes the surrounding overactive muscles and reduces pain. The adjustment may be performed using our hands or using a tool. A high velocity low amplitude thrust is the mode in which the adjustment is delivered. This may or may not produce a “popping” sound. That popping sound or “cracking” sound is a natural phenomenon and release of gas in the joint. If patients prefer not to hear or feel a "popping” noise, Dr. Zoma can use

adjustment tools instead, such as the Arthrostim or Activator, which bypass the popping sounds entirely and still delivers an adjustment to the affected area.

Chiropractic adjustments are not just for back pain. Chiropractic adjustments improve range of motion and function in the entire body.
